IaC

Define the AWS resources via CDK.

Registered data overwrites in S3

When running on the same file in rapid succession (e.g., two back to back api calls), the same datestring is being used, causing overwrites in S3.

Need globally unique buckets

Add a prefix parameter passed when calling cdk (synth, deploy) to prefix the bucket names.

  • I'm currently using the bucket names, so any other deployments will fail.
  • I'm not using the auto-generated names for the buckets since you need to upload to them, and the auto generated names are gook.

Validate API POSTs

Simple AWS https API does not have an option for message validation. Switch to an AWS REST API or a fastapi implementation.
