pipelines's Issues

Suggestion Submission Button State

Submission button does not give feedback on whether or not the suggestion was submitted, submitting, or errored out. Add something that indicates the state of the request.

feat[pipeline]: Adding Stealth/Startups that don't exist to be selected

Proposed feature:

• If someone has worked at a startup/small company and wants to put it on the pipeline, it should give them the option to choose the company
• If someone has worked at a stealth startup, same optionality, however it would show Stealth

Word Filtering

Add filters for any text fields to prevent inappropriate language.

Profile Pictures

Allow for editable profile pictures:

• S3 Bucket for File Storage
• Store link references to where file is being hosted for display

Suggestion System

Screen takes in suggestions from users.

• Private, only a public form
• Text input user can suggest changes to website / add companies

[bug]: Text not formatting correctly on Home

When on the home page, if screen size is around 1000px wide, the timeline begins to overlap.

Make Guidelines

Unfortunately, there have been some users that have tried to add duplicate companies, and when they tried to read the guidelines there weren't any.

Add Data Science-Based Positions

A user asked for data science-based roles and positions so they could add them to their pipeline. Also asked for specific companies, which I will be doing within the admin dashboard.

UI Revamp

UI needs a revamp once all the functionality is done.

[bug]: Usernames are defaulting to ouckah

Under the profiles section, the usernames show up as ouckah as shown in the image.

[bug]: Search broken in test

Search TEST 1:

Search term

• User searches for Apple

Expected Result:

• No results found OR blank OR if past, show timeline and season when at Apple

Current Results

• Shows Notion and nothing related to Apple :(

• Only Capital One incoming/current, if past, show timeline and season when at Capital One

Loading Screen

Create a screen for when pages are loading / fetching APIs

• Use Lucide icon for loading
• Add loading screen for any calls that take time to fetch

Linkedin Scraping

Scrape data off linkedin to generate pipelines.

• Maybe have user log into Linkedin, and generate pipeline through that
• If not, web scrape off website

Offer Verification

Have a system that verifies whether someone has gotten an experience or not.

• Manual verification? (User sends offer letter)
• AI verification?
• Regex?
• Linkedin scrape?

[bug]: inf requests when looking at a profile

When looking at a profile, {"msg":"No authorization token provided."} tokens keep getting generated indefinitely as shown in the image.

Add mobile compatibility. Mobile friendly!
