HTTP Headers

A web browser extension that can display the current tab's HTTP request and response or a live stream of HTTP requests and responses.

Features:

• Per tab HTTP Headers

Currently available for Chrome

Installation

Install directly from the Chrome webstore: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/http-headers/fabjnpecogealbfoebkcjfbmdhnnfhbj

OR

Download the latest package for your browser from the releases page.

Chrome Installation

1. Download the chrome.crx package from the releases page
2. Navigate to the downloaded file on your local computer
3. Open Chrome > Settings > Extensions
4. Drag and drop chrome.crx file from computer on to the open Chrome Extensions settings page
5. Click accept to install the addon (displayed as a warning at the top of the browser window)

http-headers's Issues

Follow Redirects - Show all requests that lead to the current one

"The original would show all requests that led to the current one - for example 301 redirects."

onTabClose does not remove from headers object

headers object stores closed tabs and unnecessarily increases in size.

Add handler for to listen for tab close and delete tabId from headers object.

bad headers do not display

headers that return html tags <> fail to display

Doesn't update headers when request made via XMLHttpRequest/HTML5 History api

Does not update headers object when requests are made via the HTML5 History API and XMLHttpRequest.

Eg. While navigating Twitter.

Show POST data in Request

Does not show POST data.

This has been tag as malware by chrome!

the overflow fix does not seem to be the final fix as it has been tag as malware by chrome!

Port software to Mozilla Firefox.

Live headers tab

Utilize the fetchHeaders.html header sniffing function for a live headers tab.

• add link to app header: HTTP Headers ++(live headers)
• trigger liveHeaders.html in new tab
• pass fetchHeaders if liveHeaders === true

Translations

Add translations for more languages.
