thank you so much for making this plugin. this bug has annoyed the hell out of me and cost me several raid wipes

Ever since installing this some weeks back, I'd usually get a crash when starting FF (before the Square Enix Logo even appeared). The next start would then usually work.
Since the last patch this changed, now it crashes almost every single time. Yesterday I got lucky and it worked at the 4th try, today I tried launching the game about 15 times before going into the XIVLauncher settings to disable DeviceChangeFix.

On a side note, I've been seeing occasional game crashes while in-game but am not sure if those are caused by DeviceChangeFix or another plugin I recently added, since it is hard to test random occasional crashes.

Edit: After completely uninstalling DeviceChangeFix, I am back to the "one crash and then it works" behaviour, i.e. that wasn't caused by this plugin, but the crashing since the patch most likely is.

I'd like to test this plugin out. What are the steps to install it?

Just unknown files that Windows does not recognize, no actual Windows releases or installers. Obviously meant for Mac or Linux despite claiming to be for Windows.

This got disabled with the new update for compatibility with ff14v6.1
Since I couldn't find any info whether you're working on it, I decided to take a look at it myself. I cloned and built the plugin and hotloaded it into dalamud, and it seems to run without trouble. No errors in debug or anything. Obv you know your plugin better than me, but as far as I can tell, you should be able to just get it unblocked again with minimal changes.

control: When the plugin is disabled and a device change happens (ex keyboard is plugged in), I lose controller functionality for about 5 minutes. Game goes back to normal.

variable: When the plugin is enabled and a device change happens (ex keyboard is plugged in), the whole game freezes for about the same duration. 50% chance controller function comes back. If it doesn't, I need reload the game. Some players have mentioned that my character displays the "disconnected" nameplate icon.
