unicode/emoji font

Seemingly missing unicode font stuff for things like emoji

dbus machine-id

dbus /etc/machine-id is not being generated

no /mnt folder

/mnt is missing. needs to be created in the create filesystem script

Investigate /media/user for mounts

Need settings to investigate and properly create /media/user for fuse mounts etc.

make symlinks for nonwide ncurses linking

some libs like to link with the default ncurses lib but its no present as we only compiled wc support

XDG_RUNTIME_DIR correctly set

Need to properly set via /etc/profile.d

libsolve cmake module

Currently the libsolv cmake module is being installed in /share/cmake but the default for cmake is /share/cmake-%version.

sshd host certificate generation

No matter the method tried, the scriplet to generate host keys for a working sshd still ask for passphrases. this needs to be remedied for automated installs.

mesa build

Mesa currently failing due to missing python dep: importlib_metadata

networkmanager after minimal install

dbus-daemon is missing after a minimal install rendering the resulting install not usable with a network.

python3 build bytecode

python3 rpm includes tones of bytecode etc, this needs to be fixed

Shadow password post install commands

Some post install commands are missing from the shadow.spec file that setup the shadowed passwords and groups

PAM settings for adduser/grp

Currently the PAM settings for user and group manipulation still ask for a root password even if the current user is root or permissions were elevated via sudo. This has many issues like failing scriptlets in pacakages like dbus and ntp.

vi, vim, default cli editor

vi seems to be the built in assumption for doing cli edits with things like git, sudoedit etc etc. Need to either link vi->vim or specify an environment variable.

kernel source paths

For building modules like vbox guest additions need to fix proper links for
/lib/modules/build
/lib/modules/source
these are currently being installed to the rpmbuild BUILD_ROOT

bash links

seems there are a few needed bash links
/bin/bash
/bin/sh

xfce themes broken

it seems that changing the xfce theme breaks because of a glib/xfce hack around fallback theming.

locales not properly generated

need to properly generate locales.

These need to be setup properly in the create fs script
