Why is 'p' parameter used for events, not 'dp'? about universal-analytics

This is odd. There must have been a change in the protocol. I'm logging events and I do get the page filled in correctly - so there must be some compatibility layer for older accounts or something. Or maybe it's a bug :)

Do you have some sample code that works? I've been trying all sorts of combinations of events parameters (including p, dp, combo dp and dh, etc) and simply can't get it to show anything but (not set) in GA.

Edit: Now that I check again, some events have come through within the last 30 mins with just '/' set as the page, which is incorrect but a step in the right direction. Perhaps the GA processing time is longer than I expected.

I'm afraid there's no code I can share, but there's nothing special about it - we're just setting dp and e* params and passing that to UA and it works for me™. I'm not sure why does it get sent to GA as just p, but it is not a required param. Since dp is just the path (so maybe that's why / works as a value) - can you try with dl (and no p/dp) if you want the full URL to be sent?
