LA QUETE DE TAMBARIN

Ce projet est un jeu narratif textuel, avec un système de choix, que nous avons réalisé dans le cadre d'un projet d'école en moins de deux mois.

Le jeu axe donc sur la narration avant toute autre chose.

Ceci est la première partie de l'histoire du royaume de Tambarin.

Selon vous choix (et votre vitesse de lecture...), l'histoire dure entre 10 et 20 minutes.

SYSTÈME DE SAUVEGARDE

Le jeu ne possède pas de système de sauvegarde. Si vous fermez l'instance Python, vous devrez tout recommencer à zéro !

Le jeu se compose de :

• 15 min de durée de vie (selon votre vitesse de lecture et vos choix)
• Une dizaine de lieux
• Système de combats
• Combat d'un boss final
• Gain d'argent lors des combats
• Système d'inventaire, d'équipement et d'utilisation d'objet
• Système de "checkpoint" avec la possibilité de revenir en arrière et de choisir un autre lieu
• Système de "magasin" lorsqu'on revient au checkpoint
• Système de choix
• Trois façons d'accéder à la fin de cette première partie
• un nom de héros personnalisable
• des casses-têtes
• Un meurtre abominable

POUR INSTALLER NOTRE JEU

Pour lancer le jeu, vous devez avoir installé sur votre ordinateur une version de l'interpréteur Python équivalent ou ultérieure à la version 3.9.

Python est disponible gratuitement pour Mac, Pc, et Linux à cette adresse : https://www.python.org/downloads/

Par la suite, vous pourez lancer le jeu directement dans l'interpréteur Python disponible sur votre ordinateur (CMD pour Windows, Terminal pour Mac et Linux). Faites clique-droit sur le fichier jeuPy.py et choisissez Ouvrir.

THE QUEST OF TAMBARIN

This project is a narrative text-based game, with choices to made, which influence the way you get to the end of the game.

It was made for a school project that we had to do in less than two months.

The game is focused on narration before anything else.

This is the first part of the story of the kingdom of Tambarin.

Depending on your choices (and how fast you can read...), the story lasts between 10 and 20 minutes.

BACKUP SYSTEM

The game doesn't have a backup system. If you close your Python instance, you'll have to start the game all over again!

What's inside the game for now:

• Life time of 15min (depending on your reading speed and your choices)
• About a dozen locations
• Passive fight system
• Final boss fight
• Money gain during fights
• Inventory, equipment and use of objects later in the game
• “checkpoint” system with the possibility to go back to the starting village and choose another location to go
• “Store” system when returning to the checkpoint, where you can buy stuff with the money earned during your journey
• Choices which influence your path
• Three ways to access the end of this game
• a customizable hero’s name and gender
• Puzzles
• An abominable murder to solve

TO PLAY OUR GAME

To play our game, you will need a version of the Python interpreter (3. 9 or higher) installed on your computer.

Python is available for free for Mac, PC, and Linux at https://www.python.org/downloads/

Afterwards, you can run the game directly in the Python interpreter available on your computer (CMD for Windows, Terminal for Mac and Linux). Just right-click on the file jeuPy.py and run start.
