This repo is where I will write my PhD thesis. See this doc for planning and organisation.

How to compile the tex

I'm using this template for the thesis. In order to make it work, I had to run the following commands to install missing packages:

sudo apt install latexmk
sudo apt-get install texlive-science
sudo apt-get install lmodern
sudo apt-get install texlive-fonts-extra 

The tex is compiled by cding to the template directory and running the following command:

make

How can I view the thesis without compiling it myself?

Some versions of the thesis will be saved in pdfs, named according to the date of that version.
