I have ozfx3 navigation charts created from Maptech charts. These work 
perfectly on OziCE.

The charts do not appear to be recognised or work on Androzic.

oxfx3 maps I have created from Google Map tiles do work with Androzic

Androzic 05b on stock Android 2.2 Google Nexus One

The difference I see between the Maptech ozfx3 charts and ozfx3 maps created 
from Google Maps tiles is that the G Map ozfx3 files calibration starts at 0,0 
while the Maptech ozfx3 files calibration starts at for example 353,257 due to 
the fact that the charts are based on paper charts with a border.

I have attached a Maptech .map file and oxfx3 file

When in Navigation mode and Nautical Miles is selected in Units all distances 
to Waypoints are in Fathoms.

While a fathom can be a measure of distance, in nautical terms a fathom is a 
measure of depth of water.

It would be more correct if distance was measured in nautical miles/decimal 
nautical miles.

Keep up the good work. Androzic gets better with each update.

Add support for magnetic degrees.

Subj. This is again Swampex library problem - it's simply not implemented. But 
I will try to add this functionality in the library.

I have a lovely set of Victoria statewide mpas in Oziexplorer format however 
when I try to load a map Androzic returns xxxxxx.map Dataum Australian 
Geocentric 1994 (GDA94) Not found..

Map should contain scale indicator.

Big screen with only compass, destination distance to navigating point, battery 
information. If not moving use internal compass to determine the direction to 
navigating point.  

Would like to be able to upload tracks to EveryTrail.

Currently maps are reindexed on each application launch. It takes considerable 
time.

Implement pinch (multitouch) zoom.

Waypoint should have alert property.

I have noticed a noticeable lag (in excess of 30 sec startup) in App Start when 
you have a large number of Maps (> 50) in the Maps Directory.. 

Any chance of adding some kind of Map Directory Cache or index to speed this 
up??

Hi,

I have a large number of Ozi Explorer maps for Victoria, Australia that are 
calibrated using UTM co-ordinates ( Zone, Easting, Northing ).

These maps load into Androzic, but the positioning is way out.
In the case of the example map provided, the co-ordinates of the top left 
corner should be Lat/Long 145.125064, -37.625051 but it shows up in Androzic as 
144.56xxx, 52.62xxx


What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

First off I would like to say that 0.6.9b is running great on my Nexus One 
phone. Thanks.

I have just received a Witstech A81E 7" Tablet running Android 2.2.

0.6.5b runs great on this tablet. I can drag to new charts, open different 
scale charts at the location.

Any version greater than 0.6.5b e.g 0.6.9b results in instabilty and force 
closes when clicking on the 'back' button, 'menu' button or loading charts from 
the map list.

From the logs I am getting a java.lang.outofmemory error.

The A81E has 256MB RAM.

I will create a force close and send the report.

High quality graphics should be created for application icon.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Generate files by Map Merge for OziExplorer 

I can open it on OziExporer on my phone but when i try open it in androzic 
there is error java.io.IOException: Couldn't decode OZFX3 file.....

Source code for libozfdecoder.so is missing. Is it based on swampex library?
Not all resource files are present in res directory that's why I can't compile 
a project from a source code.

If coordinate is entered in search panel it should be searched exactly, not 
only known nearby locations.

Using ozf2 maps with Finland Hayford datum. 
Cursor stays on top left corner. Doesn't show your current position.

And yes, maps are working and calibrated in ozi.

Proximity should respect user distance unit selection.

It would be great to have such option.

I will be pleased to translate Androzic in French.

Implement build-in android backup to the cloud.

I have 2 sdcards (internal and external) on my SGS. 
I would prefer to put my maps (2 GB) on my external sdcard.

Application should load last track tail at startup.

Landscape mode is disabled for a time being. Need to support it in future.

Compass shows incorrect direction in landscape mode.

As a private pilot I need altitude in feet, speed in Knots and distance in 
nautical miles.

User is able to drag the map to nonexistent coordinates and get off the map.

Waypoints should be operated in sets (honor their respective files)

It would be nice to be able to select a custom icon for a waypoint.

It is currently impossible to import route from desktop OziExplorer.

When viewing lat long in degree minute format the coordinate displayed can be 
out by a degree. Suspect an error in the conversion. 

Not sure if this is an issue or whether the functionality is not yet added.

Clicking on a map in Map List does not open/load the map. 

The only way of opening a map that is not at current GPS/Wireless location is 
to drag the maps until the map I want loads.

Androzic 0.6.5b on Nexus One Froyo

Should notify of route waypoint approach, etc.

Ozi supports custom datums, file datums.dat.
All my maps are in special datum, 'SLOVENIJA'.
Is it possible to add custom datum in this software?

Speed should be filtered

Map is listed in the maps window but can not be switched to.

Implement kinetic scrolling.

1 - Lost ability to drag maps
2 - Lost abiltiy to disable Auto Follow i.e Auto Follow always on
3 - There appears to be an issue between the Auto load best scale function and 
the switch map arrows. The maps only load for 5 secs or the the whole map GUI 
closes but Androzic still running in background. Ocassionally when trying to 
switch maps using the arrows Androzic force closed.
The ability to disable Auto load best scale would be handy.

I have gone back to 0.6.5b which is reasonably stable.

When the user drags the map it always returns to the fixed point.

When you run the application it closes not showing any window.
