Minimal Alpine Linux Docker image with rsync backup capability.

Specifically designed for rsync.net, but it is useful elsewhere.

Environment Configuration

• BACKUP_PATH - Defaults to /mnt
• BACKUP_EXCLUDE_PATH -
• REMOTE - Remote hostname. Defaults to rsync.net
• REMOTE_PATH - Defaults to hostname
• BACKUPS_KEEP - Defaults to 7

Usage question for providing remote configuration and authentication details.

Is there a piece to your usage, with the formatting of the "REMOTE" environment variable that you show as REMOTE-'rsync.net' that is supposed to include some lookup marker in a config file that has the actual user and actual rsync.net server host and the credentials/ssh key?

I have an rsync.net account and I am looking to implement something just like this with multiple containers and trying to determine how to best setup configurations for the remote endpoint to include ssh key/credentials mapped/mounted/provided to the container at runtime.

Can you share how you are handling this last mile of its implementation?
