This would make it easier to compare - from a quick glance, it seems the commands are based on physical key positions, not letter mnemonics?

Would that mean vem could be adapted to e.g COLEMAK?

Currently Vem disables vim-EnhancedJumps key mappings by creating fake ones. Now there's a g:EnhancedJumps_no_mappings configuration option to do so since inkarkat/vim-EnhancedJumps@94ec8d5. Would be nice to use that instead of doing the hackish remapping.

The idea is that the user doesn't have to set g:vem_layout manually in their vemrc file, and the correct layout will be taken from the system configuration.
Potential problems:

• Making it work across platforms
• Requiring external commands that may or may not be present on the system
• Figure out what to do in the case of remote editing (eg. through SSH)

@mirsella opened #3 with working code for Linux. In order to include this functionality, we should ensure that it works for (Linux, Mac and Windows or that there's a reasonable fallback).

I use Dalton Theme, and the colors are different between Neovim and Neovem. I want to know why is this occuring.
