TouchOSC maps for Ardour

Each directory contains one TouchOSC map and one README file. The README file contains any setup information in either Ardour or TouchOSC needed to make it work.

Names ending in tab are designed for tablets (mine is 7inch) and names ending in phn are small area for phones.

TouchOSC is available for either Android devices or iOS devices.

Contributions are welcome, the author should include their name in the README file and maybe their irc nic.

The TouchOSC map edit tool is available from https://hexler.net/software/touchosc look towards the bottom of the page. The noarch version works with Linux so long as the java runtime is installed on the system... in fact marking it executable means it can be run from the file manager. The created files are not human readable (unfortunately) so simple cut and paste for blocks of stuff is not possible with a text editor.

ardour-touchosc's Issues

Slider feedback

When a track is selected, the mixer controls are not updated to show the properties of the selected track.

Also, when I move the slider in Ardour, its position is not updated on the tablet.

Banksize

According to the README, the banksize in Ardour must be set to 8. Hoewever, this causes only the first 8 track names (and other info?) to be loaded.
Setting the banksize to 24 fixes this.

Dedicated aux-mix views

Hardware mixers and other similar equipment features dedicated monitor mix views that musicians can point there devices to to alter there own monitor mix.

Some people uses Ardour for live mixing by using busses and sends to send personal mixes to in-ear monitors for musicians and would really appreciate such a "limited" view

I am not sure the OSC layer is the best place to implement this function though but I wanted to put the feature request here anyway.

24channel-1fader-tab Record/Solo Button is not a toggle button

When pressing the Record Button for a channel recording is engaged for that channel but there is no way to reverse that. I think that the Record Button should be a toggle Button (on/off). The same occurs for the Soloing, Disk an Input buttons. As far as I see the same occurs in the other layouts.

Currently using Ardour 5.12.0 and the Osc 1.9.9

Best Regards
