pern-jwt-tutorial's Issues

require not defined error

Hi, I've been following along your YouTube courses, and I've recently run into an issue with node throwing this error: `const express = require("express");
^

ReferenceError: require is not defined in ES module scope, you can use import instead
This file is being treated as an ES module because it has a '.js' file extension and '/Users/Nizz0k/Sites/pgpengapi/package.json' contains "type": "module". To treat it as a CommonJS script, rename it to use the '.cjs' file extension.`

I don't know why this error has started happening, but whatever started this is causing me to refactor the entire application. I suspect this is a node version conflict, but I'm not sure how to resolve it.

Getting 'false' console.log() when trying to register an account.

Hey!

I was following the tutorial, then have now tested on my local machine.

When I try and register an account, the page doesn't update, a 0b package is recorded being sent, the user seems to end up in the DB but the page never redirects to the dashboard.

Any help diagnosing this issue would be fantastic, as I am very confused what's causing it for just me (it seems).
