Database host is messed up with `convox start`

The app is running fine with docker-compose up but not with convox start.
I see the following error:

http: panic serving 172.17.0.1:51058: dial tcp: lookup database on 8.8.8.8:53: no such host

From some reason the db host is messed up.

docker-compose version 2 does not work with `convox start`

docker-compose version 2

  webservice:
    build:
      context: ./webservice/

convox start

ERROR: Invalid manifest (docker-compose.yml): yaml: unmarshal errors:
  line 5: cannot unmarshal !!map into string
  line 15: cannot unmarshal !!map into string
