From vmdk to Compute Instance Automation

Introduction

Here are 2 separate deployments. You will find more details in the Readme files inside each folder.

• setup folder

  Here is the deployment of the functions and events that will convert vmdk into Compute Instance.

• export_import

  Here is the automation that will export vmdks from VMWare and import them in a bucket.

Scope

Each solution can run separately and have different scopes.

• setup

  Converts a vmdk from Object storage into a compute instance.

• export_import

  This automated solution is to be used if you have multiple machines in VMware that needs to be uploaded in a bucket.
