codefemme's Issues

Set up a structure for the repo

The template structure is not so proper. A proper structure makes it easy to find the files and code.
Suggested actions:

  1. Create a static folder at the root with css,js and img folder inside it.
  2. All the js,css and img should be moved to their respective folders.
  3. index.html stays in the root of the repository.
  4. Remove gulp.js, package.json and package-lock.json.

Please note that changing folder names and file path might break their import in the html file, make sure to fix those also in the PR.

Implement Smooth scroll

Currently on clicking on an option in the navbar, the webpage shifts to it instantly, it should scroll to that secition.

Add side stripes to the section to make them look good.

An example can be found here at the Pragma's website.
pragma 2019 06-02-2019 19-00-32

The stripes will be at the sides of a section. Don't use the images used in the Pragma website, they don't go well with the color scheme of the CodeFemme website.

Take care of responsiveness as side stripes cause issues in it. If the design is as such that can't be shown in the mobile device then show only for large screens i.e laptops and tablets.

In case of doubts, ask in the issue itself.

Improve PR template

  1. Add a field to upload live link
  2. Remove the gap between " # and (issue) in fixes
  3. Add a field to upload screenshot of the issue solved
  4. Comment down the way to check the checklist boxes

add an image carousel

search for 3-4 pictures on flickr which consist of women in tech in IIITA. make a section Gallery and add an image carousel with those images.

Implement scrollspy

According to design of the website, an underline will be much better than darkening the navbar item.

add yourself to the contributor section.

add a card for yourself in the contributor section. Make sure to write a one line bio.
after adding yourself, make sure to do a social media post saying you are contributing to codefemme or added yourself to codefemme part of opencode19 or any other relevant post. (facebook, twitter, linkedin or any other platform, no stories). Comment the link of the post in the pull request. This is a mandatory condition to get your PR merged.

improve the navbar

the current navbar looks too plain and a bad color scheme. Also the logo in navbar section doesn't looks good. Improve the navbar.

Open more issues

Add more issues for building the website inorder to improve any bugs or add new sections. If the issue seems alright it will be approved by that open code and labels will be added to them. Also make sure to claim the issue when it is approved.

Write a blog on your OpenCode'19 experience.

Refer to opencodeiiita/Opencode-Collaborative-19#388
OpenCode'19 is coming to an end. I would request you all to write a blog about your experience with OpenCode'19. I prefer the blog to be on medium but any other good platform will also work.
This blog is mandatory for you to be considered for the final judging, the final date to provide the blog is 14th February 23:59:59. Comment the link of your published blog on the parent issue.
Also all your points should be submitted for the review by 13th February 23:59:59. The deadlines are strict so I request you all to adhere to it.

fix loader

the loader is currently hardcoded to 2 seconds. It should go away as soon as the page is loaded.
