Objects labelling in stats.json file

Hi, thank you so much for publishing these data. I have looked into the stats.json file but find something confusing about the indexing of objects.

It is quite obvious that the data for 2014, 2015 and 2016 are indexed by their nlc_id. However, for other years, the labels are completely different and cannot be matched with the nlc_id of London metro stations. For example the first object of the stats.jsom file is 0853 which doesn't match with any nlc_id in the tflstations.json file.

May I ask do you happen to know the rules behind these indexing? Since the app can show data up to 2003.

MultiLineString or LineString

Hi Oliver,

Thanks for sharing this, really useful.

One query - why do you use MultiLineString sometimes in the tfl_lines.json when you only ever have a polyline of length one?

I'm trying to understand what is the difference between the lines marked as MultiLineString and those as LineString as to me, from the contents of the MultiLineString it looks like they should be labelled as a LineString

Thanks!

Gerry

Carto edits to lines to reduce crossings

Will make some carto edits to the lines, to reduce unecessary (even if true) crossings.

Definitely:

  • Bakerloo crossing Circle/District just east of Paddington Praed St - make it a touch at the station instead.
  • Jubilee crossing Circle/District/Met east of Baker Street - make it a crossing at the station instead.
  • Victoria crossing Northern just east and just west of Euston - making it a touch at the station (shift the Northern)
  • Central crossing Overground twice just north of Liverpool St - shift it NWwards.
  • Central crossing DLR twice west of Stratford - shif tit Nwards.
  • Elizabeth crossing DLR and Central west of Stratford - shif tit Nwards.
  • Elizabeth crossing DLR just west of Royal Victoria - shift it Nwards.

Maybe:

  • Shift Piccadilly/Victoria between Finsbury Park and Manor house to eliminate double-crossing.
