OK - behaviour I see:
- Click to Submit mode (or when submit button is clicked in double click mode): focus is released from chat input after the button is pressed
- Double click event: focus is never released from chat input
- Single click mode: focus is never released
What we need, I believe, is for focus to be released on the first click, regardless of mode. Now to find out where that is...
