Description

Built from source alpine based nginx with extra features.

Check 0-install-deps.alpine.sh for build options. Nginx access and error logs piped to stderr and stdout to check them in docker logs. Also, no additional log rotation needed inside container.

How to use

Current build contains following configuration options ready to use:

CORS validation
default mime-types
default locations
common proxy-pass

To start nginx-more:

make docker-up
make docker-logs # in json log format for easier integration with log processing backend

Then open localhost:80 in browser to check it's working.

To build an image locally:

make docker-build

Extended metrics available at:

localhost:9020/status # html
localhost:9020/metrics # prometheus

How to reelase & deploy

The "Release please" github action will automatically create release PR after merge to main
When new tag created, "Docker build-n-push" workflow will be triggered. It will build both linux/amd64 and linux/arm64 images and push them to the docker hub
