Installation

Docker

docker pull ogajduse/cryptochat-server

Manually

Clone this repository:

git clone https://github.com/ogajduse/cryptochat-server.git && cd cryptochat-server

Install pipenv:

Debian

pip install pipenv

Fedora

dnf -y install pipenv

Install required python packages:

pipenv --three install

Run the server

Docker

docker run -p 8888:8888 -ti cryptochat-server

Manually

mkdir -p .data
echo DATABASE_LOCATION=$PWD/.data >> .env

Run the server:

pipenv run python app.py

Check

curl localhost:8888

cryptochat-server's Issues

Missing owner_id for chat

Method select_my_chats(self, my_id): can not work as we removed owner_id from database.

Missing DB method for handling the 'object' ID

I'd like to call a method called get_next_user_id() to get the ID that I should use while inserting new user.
