This repository contains data and metadata on excess mortality in OECD regions, prepared by the OECD’s Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities for the publication How COVID-19 is changing the world: a statistical perspective (Volume III), published by the Community for the Coordination of Statistical Activities (CCSA) in March, 2021.

Contents

  • Metadata: Information on the OECD Regional Typology and data sources.
  • Data: CSV file, showing the percentage increase in deaths between January and August 2020 (deaths_growth_1619) with respect to the average of the same period in the previous four years (deaths_cummean_1619).
