bmpanel2's Issues

Unknown XEvent Debug Output

bmpanel2 is producing lots of debug messages of this form:

Unknown XEvent (type: 65, win: 18874922)

It seems to happen when a window gets the focus.

The window IDs are not valid.

Problems in copyright

You specify that the copyright notice and the permission notice shall be included in all copies or substantial portions of the Software, but you did not include the notice on any file.

You're breaking your own copyright!

Site linked in description down

Hi,

Just a side, note that the site linked in the project description seems down.
Also, I'd love to see some screenshots in the README.md.

Small things, just figured I'd say, cheers, -Harry

Enhancement request -- taskbar icon specification in bmpanel2rc for matching windows

If bmpanel2 cannot get the icon from an application for display in the taskbar, it just uses the default icon specified by the theme file, often resulting in lots of instances of the default icon especially when bmpanel2 is used with pekwm because pekwm has never implemented the "mini icon" feature in the window titlebars.

Please consider adding a feature to allow the specification of an icon for a window class or name in the bmpanel2rc file accepting eg

 taskbar

 app_name urxvt
 icon /usr/local/share/icons/Desktop/32x32/urxvt.png

 app_name slogin
 icon /usr/local/share/icons/Desktop/32x32/slogin.png

 class_nam Ssvnc.tcl
 icon /usr/local/share/icons/Desktop/32x32/vnc-terminal.png

In the above example, slogin is an xterm or rxvt or urxvt invoked with the "-n slogin" parameter and "-e slogin some_local_host" As fbpanel has this feature, it may be possible to "re-use" code from that project.
