nQuake for Windows

To compile an nQuake installer, follow these steps:

Download NSIS (http://nsis.sourceforge.net/) - version 2.x or v3.0+ doesn't matter.
Copy/move the folders in the include folder to C:\Program Files (x86)\NSIS\.
For NSIS v3.0+ you need to move the plugins (.dll files) to the "x86-ansi" subfolder of "Plugins".
Right-click the nquake-installer_source.nsi file and open with makensisw.exe.

Tips:

Most of the code resides in nquake-installer_source.nsi but some code that is used often can be found in nquake-macros.nsh.
Edit the contents of the installer pages in the .ini files and their functions in the installer source file (e.g. Function DOWNLOAD for the download page).

If you decide to fork nQuake into your own installer, I would love to get some credit, but since this is GPL I can't force you :)

Playing trailer doesn't work

Site gives the following console error related to Youtube and when pressing play trailer it's stuck at "buffering...".

However I'm wondering if the video itself might have gone up in smoke? Can't find it on Youtube using the ID...

Had some free space on one my servers, and thought it would be nice to contribute to the community with a mirror. Thanks for nQuake, it's awesome!

The Windows nQuake and Server Installer from nquake.com is broken. It'll download fine, but during installation it fails 100% of the time now stating ""Error downloading sv-bin-win32.zip: SendRequest Error""

I think this is because of the Dec 2021 move is my guess.

It doesn't matter if you set it to a repo or git, it fails every time.

OS X ezQuake vers out of date

Hi there,

I had filed a bug with ezQuake regarding "Growl" dependency and it turns out the version of ezQuake you're distributing with nQuake is very out of date. As a result, many ppl who try to use nQuake on OS X won't be able to run it. Newer versions of ezQuake resolve the problem. This just a friendly nudge to update the ezQuake version when you have a chance. Hope this github repo is actually looked at! :)
