Hi all, here is the webext version, it is limited due to content scripts being blocked on sites like addons.mozilla.org and some others. But please try it out.

Please rename from .zip to .xpi and add via about:debugging

You can reproduce this by going to say https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/hiliteonselection/reviews/ and typing a single letter in the find bar, notice that firefox freezes for a moment, if this is done on larger web page it can result in firefox freezing requiring a restart.

I propose an option to limit to two characters and above highlighting, that should help without mucking things up too badly.
