Allows you to define a custom homepage for NodeBB. The default template comes with four widget areas (main, sidebar, header, footer).

Install

Command line:

npm install nodebb-plugin-custom-homepage

Or install via the Admin Control Panel and restart NodeBB.

Activating

A new entry will be available under ACP -> General -> Home Page called "Custom Homepage". Set this and hit save.

Adding a menu item to the navbar

Add a navigation icon to the navbar on the menu via ACP -> General -> Navigation. Under route, enter /.

nodebb-plugin-custom-homepage's Issues

External links obtain active class when on home page

The title really explains it all.. I cant figure out how to resolve this issue since it's automatically added to the link from nodebb. Whenever the user is at the homepage my external link will be highlighted as active.

Uncaught SyntaxError: Invalid regular expression: /<!-- IF !breadcrumbs.length -->([\s\S]*?)<!-- ENDIF !breadcrumbs.length -->/: Stack overflow

Keep on receiving this exception on the console after install the plugin, it might be related it.

Need update for comtability with last nodebb...

Please update your plugin because with the 1.6.X, your plugin don't work ... Blank page appear ...

clicking to reload the homepage fails to load the page

"Log in to Post" button appears in he "Recent view" widget even after the user logs in.

Is it the way its supposed to work? if yes could you explain.

After installing, custom modules do not load

Self-explanatory from title, after installing, none of the custom widgets load

This plugin does not work in stable 1.6.1

Could you please take a look at this?

"Home" Breadcrumb go to the "homepage"

This would be better to go on the /forum :) ! and let the header title redirect you to the home page x)

always uses uid 0

/forum route is not ajaxifying properly

Loading errors ?

When you first arrive on the "forum", you get the "forum page" (all category) as of the "custom home page" :/ but when you clic on the header forum title(or logo) this load well the custom homepage

description meta tag no longer renders

When this plugin is enabled the "description" meta tag no longer renders in the HTML. Is this by design or is there another place to put it?

Disabling global widgets on the homepage?

I've been attempting to do this, but so far my attempts are nil. I haven't dug into NodeBB much yet, so the workings are a bit unfamiliar to me right now. Is there any easy way to do this that wouldn't require modifying the core of NodeBB directly?

404 not found

I'm running NodeBB v0.4.3.

When clicking on Plugins / Custom Static Pages in the admin panel:
Not Found
You seem to have stumbled upon a page that does not exist. Return to the home page.

Even with no sidebar content on latest nodebb; I get col-md-9

I upgraded to the latest nodebb and locally testing shows that I no longer have a fullscreen wide custom homepage and instead it's defaulting to the col-md-9 class.

I have no sidebar content registered for that page; is there something that I can change? Anything required for details?

Plugin not loading

Hello all!

I'm fairly new to NodeBB (NodeJS in general), but it seems the plugin won't load. I've tried intalling it both using npm and the NodeBB Admin Panel.

The Admin Panel says its active, however there is not a section for this plugin in the "Installed Plugins" section.
