opendeck's Issues

Release as Flatpak or AppImage?

Any chance you could build and distribute a Flatpak or AppImage release of this to make it easier to run on a variety of Linux-based devices? There is a similar app on FlatHub, but it is very basic compared to yours. Thanks.

Info on usage

Hi So i install the deb file of the last 'auto compile' as no file are put into release. It open up right away, and look quite good. I can go and plugin, if i click download i got msg to install. (no process or succes msg ) then close and when i re-open it show few plugins as being install - with the button remove on thoses.
But how can i apply to any button ? There's no menu or + selection to add. And i haven't figure out how to put via file config.
Do you have an example config file with like using few plugin and some button with app launcher ?

Thanks in advance

No GUI on latest windows build

Hi ninja,

first of all, thank you for this promising project!

I have issues with the current (https://github.com/ninjadev64/OpenDeck/actions/runs/7629502333) release build on Windows 11:

After the installation, there are 3 "opendeck" processes visible in the task manager but there is no way to open the gui. There is no icon in the taskbar, too. Restarting the app or system does not change the situation.

I am working on a (nearly) freh installed, up to date Windows 11 system with a SD+ connected.

Tell me, if i can provide useful information like logs.

Thanks
Christoph

Plugins are not available immediately after install

After installing a new plugin, following gif from docs or manually installing files, it is not available to drag onto a key.

I must force quit OpenDeck and restart the app to see the new plugins.

I'm also seeing what must be compatibility issues with some Stream Deck apps, causing OpenDeck to be unresponsive or to crash with errors (after force quitting and restarting). Let me know if I should report those separately.

I'm a TS engineer, but have minimal electron experience, and I have some free time. If you could point me in the right direction, I may be able to help solve the related issues.
