A script to pull the rss feed for a podcast and run some analysis on it.
podcast_stats --feed_url <url>
or just podcast_stats and it will ask you for the url.
Clone the repo (or download it, or whatever... I'm not your dad).
git clone https://github.com/NiklasMM/podcast_stats.git
Install with pip. I recommend doing this in a virtualenv.
pip install podcast_stats
podcast_stats uses the following packages from pypi (they will be installed automatically):
- click - for the cli
- feedparser - to parse the RSS feeds
- terminaltables - to display the data nicely
If you try it with the very good podcast Geek News Radio, like this:
podcast_stats --feed_url http://sixgun.org/feed/gnr/
You should see something like this:
