outlook-mail-notes's Issues

Notify users of new version

E.g. using a Changelog button that gets a different colour. The button could be placed in the settings menu.

Export notes to CSV

It would be best if users could decide to export all notes, or just those specific to the current mail, conversation or sender.

Complex note templates

These templates could include context-sensitive fields, such as automatically inserting the sender's name, the mails subject, etc.
Depends on #14

Make a better icon

The current icon is too detailed for most contexts, and does not fit nicely into the design of Outlook

Change category ordering priority

Currently, Mail Notes adds its categories to the top of the category list in Outlook. This causes messages to be prioritized with this category when ordering them by category, instead of other custom categories.

Simple note templates

A note template could get used by all notes, or only those within a context (mail, conversation, sender)

Allow converting a mail to a note

This would make it easier to use the mail's contents as a starting point for the note.
Would be best realized using a Taskpane action.

Delete notes that haven't been accessed in a long time

The users need to be aware of this. e.g. the settings menu could show the next notes that will be deleted, and a small text at the bottom of the editor could show when the current note will be deleted.

This will rarely be necessary, as there should be enough storage. However, we are unable to know if a note has simply not been accessed in a long time, or if the related message was deleted.

The timer for note deletion should also be reset if a note is viewed, not only when it is edited.

Improve load time of the Quill editor

When the Add-In is added through a URL, the Quill editor takes a bit longer to load than e.g. the header, which makes the Add-In look less responsive. If no speed up is possible, perhaps a loading icon could be used.
