OBS crashes as soon as I try studio mode on the remote about obs-web

That's strange, do you have the latest (stable) version of OBS and OBS-websocket? I haven't tested the OBS 26 RC yet.

Mute/unmute is something that I can add if there's interest. I don't want to clutter the UI too much, so I need to check where to put such an icon.

Yeah it shouldn't be too bad if you ensure only currently active sources on the current scene show up in the audio list. Could fine tune it more by letting people choose which audio interfaces they want shown on the tab.

Are you running an old version of obs-websocket? There is a fix in version 4.8 for this crash: obsproject/obs-websocket#434 - please update to 4.8 and report if it's fixed.

Ahhh that fixed 2 things. 1. The preview wasn't even showing by default at the bottom of the page and 2. Studio mode works as expected now.
