importing a submodule within a module

With this repo I wanted to test if I can find a way to import a submodule (or a sub sub module) into a file within the parent module. This should be possible, but I did not figure it out yet.

In 7b3e521 I finally got the import of the sub sub module (module.sub_a.sub_sub_a) working, but it did not import all the files in the directory, because this needed to be done in the __init__.py file (see 13793a8).

importing a file

In 2194747 I tried to import a function (test_function()) from a file (a.py) within the same folder. This does not work.

From what I read in this StackOverflow (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/20309456/call-a-function-from-another-file-in-python) it should.
