no clean build on first try

Hi, I saw your blog post, I'm trying to configure a multi-project grails build with several plugins. I tried your code (thanks for putting it on github), but after a checkout and "mvn package", the build fails: https://gist.github.com/gschueler/ea526f72a54704c17ff9

I'm figuring this is because the plugin modules are not "installed" prior to the grails app being built, but why does maven require that?

I would like to set up my build so that a clean check + mvn package will work without having to individually run "mvn install" on the dependencies.

Do you have a suggestion?

(ps. my own project is using grails 2.2.4, but I am hitting the same exact issue.)
