Request for SideTrack-like function

All of the trackpad discussions I've seen seem obsessed with two-finger
scrolling. While it would be great if it worked, I'd be EXTREMELY HAPPY to
see scrolling functionality such as that provided by SideTrack
(http://www.ragingmenace.com/software/sidetrack/), where a portion of the
track pad is "reserved" for scrolling.

Or, if SideTrack could somehow be tricked to work on the Dell Mini, that
would work as well. I presume this would require the involvement of the
SideTrack developer, but I could be wrong.

DellEFI 1.1 breaks dual head

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install DellEFI 1.1
2. Try to use dual head
3. Notice it is completely broken, since the default behavior of 1.03 was for
dual head to work
out of the box

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Two working displays. Instead, I see a single mirrored, corrupted display.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.1 release

Please provide any additional information below.

FFscrolldaemon jumpy when move fast

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enable the ffscrolldaemon stuff for 2 finger scrolling
2. Move finger very fast across the pad - the pointer jumps around crazily
rather than tracking straight

I suspect that an overflow is ocurring in the distance moved.

In the version of the source on koders.com the distance moved (dx and dy)
are using int16 and the high sensitivity of the trackpad means it is
overflowing. Changing these to int32 would presumably provide enough
headroom.

If I knew where to get the current source/makefiles etc I could have a go
at it.

Clamshell sleep doesn't work in 1.2 alpha 5

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install 1.2 alpha 5 on top of alpha 4
2. Reboot, login, etc.
3. Close laptop

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The laptop ought to have gone into sleep mode. Instead, it only goes into sleep
mode _when the
clamshell is re-opened_.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.2 alpha 5

Please provide any additional information below.
reverting to 1.2 alpha 4 fixed this.

Unable to run DellEFI Boot Maker on PPC / 10.4 Tiger

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download DellEFIBootMaker0.3.3 from Google Code
1. Launch DellEFIBootMaker0.3.3

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I've read the application creates a single window with a button that can be
used to create the
boot record.

When I launch the application, it appears in briefly in the dock, bouncing
before it disappears.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
The machine I am running is a PowerBook G4; Mac OS X 10.4.11

Please provide any additional information below.

Enhancement: Support for the HP Mini 110-1010

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I'm using Netbook Maker with a retail 10.5.6 DVD
2. I'm first formatting an 8 GB disk (SanDisk Cruzer) following the
instructions, then copying the DVD contents (all with DiskUtility on a Mac)
3. On startup, I boot from the Sandisk and the Chamaleon boot loader appears
4. I hit enter and then -x -v -f

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The boot process seems to start correctly, but at a given point, I get
the 'Np HPETs available' message and the boot process dies...

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

I'm using NetbookMaker 0.8.2 and retail 10.5.6

Please provide any additional information below.

I'm willing to help testing and get NetbookMaker work for my HP-Mini 110

Keyboard does not work properly all the time in 10.5.8

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output: Keyboard to type properly.
Actual output: keyboard will only work, if I plug in a USB keyboard or
if I hit random keys while booting. And sometimes that makes OS X to act like
a key is stuck. I had this same problem in 10.5.6 and 10.5.7, just sleep
actually worked in those, and I was able to resolve the "key stuck" issue by
putting it to sleep and waking it up.

using netbookinstaller 0.8.3
