emplexer stops playing avi files after 10 to 20 mins.
I have done extensive test with emplexer. emplexer works flawlessly with http & smb

Using NFS on my Dune D1 without emplexer works fine.

For the NFS option please add a way so that when someone has a NAS with the media on it they can add that while plex server is on another server.

Add a menu to execute refresh on PMS on current area.

With default dune playback all subtitles bugs and others related with vod playback don't exists.

If smb is configured . Then I decide to change to nfs, is it possible for emplexer to confirm if you want to keep your smb settings or revert back to emplexer default. This would save a lot of time reconfiguring smb again.

There is some kind of problem with non-latin (cyrillic in my case) movie descriptions.
Big info screen looks fine

But in playback info banner all text, except movie title, is garbled (wrong encoding i think)

I'm playing everything over NFS, so maybe it's a Dune problem, not an emplexer's?

This is more of a question than an issue.
When resuming play with mp4 or AVI files, emplexer starts buffing before playing.
the more towards the end of the file the longer it takes to start. is this normal for emplexer?
If I use my Dune without emplexer there is no buffing.

Resume play works independently of each other, Depending on how you start playing files.
I've tried to make it clear as possible.

eg:
(A settings) stopped at 5min
(B settings) stopped at 1min

If I play A setting in B setting emplexer will start a 1min

*A settings
pressing info then play works fine

press info again, episode and name shows.

*B settings
Pressing play works fine

No episode number or title info

I converted my Blu-ray to MKV with chapters, Natively Dune players supports this feature, is it possible for emplexer to support chapters(next/prev).

I know there are some things you can't do, due to the limitations of Dune, but is it possible to include an option for emplexer to be added to the start up screen(source)?

Not a high priority, but music support would be a great addition to emplexer in the future.

I have my emplexer.log file on hand, but I don't see an email I can send this to and GitHub won't allow me to attach it to this issue.

I have Plex running on my Ubuntu 12.04 Server using 172.30.0.61, and that server mounts the SMB shares from my unRAID server on 172.30.0.62. This allows my Plex Server running on Ubuntu to access my unRAID storage server. Everything is working well so far.

On my Dune, I changed the default Emplexer settings so that is uses SMB instead of HTTP. I set it to use the SMB of my unRAID server. It's playing everything I've thrown at it so far except for Blu-ray ISO files. These files are not encrypted, and they play fine when I access them using the Network Browser built into the Dune. But for some reason, they won't play when using Emplexer. When I click on the file the screen goes black and the loading icon appears in the top left. The Dune display says "WAIT" and after maybe 15 seconds I'm brought back to the Emplexer movies screen with no sort of warning or error message.

Is this a configuration issue on my end? Is there somewhere I can send my log file to help troubleshoot? Emplexer is playing my MKV's and normal DVD ISO's without any issues... so far this only seems related to Blu-ray ISO's.

If possible it would be awesome if we could get an option to select what subtitle to play (maybe through NFS?) and a way to increase/decrease subtitle offset when it's not 100% in sync with the audio.

after configuring my nas (ds713+) an my dune D1 i was able to play the video and movies from my nas but no covers or log files where downloaded or created. Movie info was was available. Where did i go wrong?

Add a transcode sessions when the file is unsupported by dune (flv,x264 hi10p, etc).

Would it be possible to change the dune icon to a plex icon for the emplexer app?

Enhancement:
Can you please add Continuous play(plays next episode automatically)
Dune players and plex natively supports this feature.

It would be ideal if you could make it so you can login once on myplex and then also see and play shared libraries from others just like in the official pc/mac plex client.

Quando o usuário apertar a tecla popup ou alguma outra o enplexer deve manar um modal para o usuário escolher qual o nome do filtro.
Esses filtros aparecerão na tela principal privadamente fé alguma outra cor.

em alguns casos a descrição do video não permite que o mesmo seja tocado.

Aparentemente tem a ver com o video possuir aspas simples ou duplas, no cast para string a string é quebrada.

when I configure the emplexer, I see my library name...."movies", but when I try to enter, I get the message "error when obtaining xml of plex".. I can use plex on my ipag, so I know the server run fine...

how can I debug? any log?

There is a small bug in the latest version (from March, 18) - selection box in TV episodes is a bit off (shifted down), so it crosses episode title.

In previous version everything was ok. I've tried to turn cache on/off - doesn't change anything.

A bit more info for TV series please.

While Watching TV shows, could you please add episode number and name, when info is pressed.

example:

Add pagination, when emplexer execute a search and return too much items load area is very slow.

The Red & Green short cuts on the remote are disabled, for Audio sync & Pal sound speed correction.
Currently Pal sound speed correction can not be turned on with emplexer.
If it's not possible to enable the short cuts on the remote, can you fix the on/off Pal sound speed function

I have a Dune Smart B1 and I set up Emplexer and it works good, I can view all of my Movies, check their info, and play them. However when I select a specific filter when "Movies" is highlighted and I make any selection, like Content rating, unwatched, genre, etc I get a screen which states "empty".

If I selct Content rating it gives me the option to choose, "G", "PG", "PG-13", "R", and then when I select any of them it shows "empty". This works on other Plex apps I have, like for the LG TV.

I can't play tv shows over nfs shares.
movies are no problem. All is well configured (i assume)

Got the latest downloaded a day or two ago.
Server is a NAS drive (192.168.1.2).

Is it possible to have a TCP/UDP option for NFS in emplexer.
I have a Dune Base 3D. When I setup a network folder with TCP enabled I do not get any stuttering.
The stuttering only happens with large files.

Resume play has stopped working in the mode shown below:

When selecting in Plex plugin Video Channels > Amazon Prime I get a list of movie browsing options: Browse Movies... Browse TV Shows...

Upon selecting Browse Movies and one of the titles, I get "X". No movie plays.

What am I doing wrong?

Here's the description of the problem (copied from the forum posts):

Is anyone besides me trying to use emplexer to play video files from an internal disk drive within the Dune? I have the Plex Media Server running on a MacBook Pro, and my movies are on a drive installed in a Dune HD Base 3D. The emplexer client is able to gather and display the movie metadata from Plex, but none of those movies will actually play on the Dune -- I get a "format not supported" error. The same movies play properly if I use the normal Dune interface, and they will also play via emplexer If I move the video files to the MacBook Pro. But emplexer fails to play these files if they are on the Dune's internal drive.

Advice from newloran2 was to switch from nfs to smb for communicating with the Dune. Unfortunately, the problem remains. I have tried reinstalling emplexer, restarting Plex, and rebooting all the hardware. I'm using the latest beta firmware for the Dune.

Natively Dune HD players supports ISO Blu-ray, is it possible with emplexer.

Use aria2c to download images on background instead php curl.

RIght now when using POP MENU it shows everything like Recently added, by Year etc etc. Would it be possible to add to the config menu to select what options it should show there? Like only enable Recently added and On Deck?
