logparse's Issues

How is it working

Hello,
Thanks for this tool, I just wanted to know how it is exactly working?
I got the results the template files in the results contains some integer values.
In the data folder for example 2kBGL the input files are template only right? and the output for the specific input template file is also with the same name? means (input) template 1 will give result of (output) template 1 right?
I want to use this tool to find exceptions and errors from log files my application is giving. So just wanted to know specifically how it is working.
or is there any other tool you are having which I can use for this purpose.

Clear steps to run clustering on a new log file

Hi @WeibinMeng , I really appreciate your work on log clustering and open-sourcing it.

I have been through the implementation of LogParse and found it a bit difficult to run it for new log files (as there are multiple dependencies around shell and python scripts).

Is it possible for you to provide clear steps to run clustering on a new raw log file by using python files alone?
