Bug:
General typing when you aren't editing a message sent depends on the creator but when you edit a message you want to be able to type within the edit message box straight away to make a change. Currently you have to click the text box to be able to edit it

Why:
Instead of having a bot to keep messages stuck at a bottom of a channel, easier moderation stuff like if you have a format you need to follow no one is going to scroll up to find the format if there are 200+ messages in a channel

Feature:
Sticky message option for server moderators which allows 1 message in the channel to be kept at the bottom of the chat

When dming Kaneki a few seconds ago but haven't dmed cyber for 15 minutes it doesn't update the position

Giving people ability to change their nicknames in a server is a pretty useful feature imo.

Why:
Easier navigation around the app

Feature:
When you are in your settings pressing the key ESC will return back to the last page you were on

Why:
It looks bad when it's cropped.

Feature:
Stop cropping embedded images.

There could be a different layout for embeds like that.

Bug:
Currently, it shows you that you can ban a system user such as:

So you can react to messages, like on Discord!

Why:
When you accidentally decide to think "what does this button do" and leave a server you have a few good ranks in.

Feature:
Show a prompt to ask for are you sure you want to do this before leaving a server

Got rid of specifics as this is a server routing bug

https://nertivia.net/app/servers/6802277143179956225/6802277143179956224 takes you to the general/default channel which is good but shortening it doesn't work.

It should go to the default channel of 6802277143179956224
when you enter https://nertivia.net/app/servers/6802277143179956225/ into the browser. Currently, it produces a 404

Why:
If someone is suddenly doing bad things but you been talking to them for a long time. You don't want to block them and have them realise you blocked them. Then don't want to officially block someone and not be able to speak to them after x days when you realise you made a bad mistake. Unless I was just. Different.

Feature:
Be able to block someone without them knowing directly they blocked you

Why:
Currently when you try to type, if the input is not focused the inputs will be lost and you have to re-focus the chat input, usually by moving the mouse.

This can be annoying.

Feature:
The input should auto focus like discord when when trying to type anywhere else on the screen that isn't intractable with a keyboard.

Why:
Easier to change status when getting head shots in siege

Add a right click menu to the tray item to change status like teams

Bug:
When pressing the user settings button under your profile on the desktop, it opens on the other side of the screen. Opening on a minimised version where you have to open the member/server list keeps it on the correct side.

Hello fellow coders! I've recently found myself obsessed with exploring Nertivia, and I love it! I think it's about time I show myself and contribute to this project!

Why:
Nertivia's UI is one of the nicer things in this world, as it just keeps on giving! And, feel free to disagree, but to my opinion, one thing that could polish it a tad bit more would be having a bit of font change here and there. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the whole application right now is using one single font.

Feature:
One tiny, but rather bold font change could be increasing the font weight for the headers, and even emitting some text here & there. In this screenshot, I demonstrated this by applying some ubuntu-style typography practices on the new nertivia's dashboard! (also, I'm using the legacy nertivia layout theme; drawer is hidden aswell)

I hope these UI prototypes help further develop the new UI in the right direction!

Why:
Faster and easier to delete messages

Feature:
When you delete a message you have to use the mouse to select "Delete", press enter to automatically delete would be nice

Why:
Be able to know if your friend died on your or not

Feature:
Just like on whatsapp, viber, snapchat(location) and Instagram be able to see when your friends were last active/last login/last message time. Could be restricted to a level of friendship such as trusted friends only being able to see it

Why:
So you can easily navigate servers when you click on an invite

Basically make it quicker to look at a server from an invite

Remove the amount of accounts you have on your friends list that are deleted

Feature:
Unfriend users once an account is deleted or after a set period of time

This issue is reserved for future use.

Why:
Fill up the profile image when you select someone's profile

Feature:
Allow people to post images that last for 24/48 hours on their profile for people to view such as screenshots/photos

People could put it in their HTML profiles but they don't know who viewed it.

Sort of like statuses but more graphic for artists and photographers.

For example, when you click on this cool person's profile image on this screen it will ask are you sure you want to view x's story.

Then it will show the images the person has added to the story.

Then the person can check statistics and see how many people viewed it and if they are a supporter maybe show who viewed it or show which friends viewed it.

Why:
Helpful if you need to use multiple accounts at once such as when you to pretend you have friends or is that just me

Feature:
Allow you to manage multiple accounts at once just like insta and snapchat.

Bug:

When you open something (popup), and you try clicking again on the same button, it does not hide, but reappears.
Example: when you first click emoji button, emojis appear, but when you click it the second time, emojis does not disappear.

Bug:

Numbers and text don't match up on the same size/needs a higher font size

Why:
Sometimes get too annoying and rather only see a certain amount of text

Feature:
Option in settings to stop tabs being created

Options on who can direct message/friend request me would be nice.
I'd personally like it if I could disable friend requests from everyone, but allow direct messages from users that I'm in the same server as.

Bug:
putting a code block after a colored text breaks the color

Make text convert to emojis so e.g. :) will become 🙂
This can be toggled off in options ofc

Why:
When creating new changes that require the attention of everyone on the server such as updates.

Feature:
@everyone tag and a @online or @here tag for online members

Would allow for people to have added protection for their account. I believe it can be done with google's authentication

Why:
So you know when someone is ready to be spoken to

Feature:
Just send a little desktop notification if they go into online status

• Add giphy or tenor gifs
• Webhook support (example: for github)
• Reactions
• Quoting quotes looks weird.
• Maybe show embed preview before sending message
• When typing a message in multiple lines, recent message will be hidden, make it scroll down a bit
• Too many quotes allowed, might be used for spamming. Two solutions:
  1. Just hide part of the message and let them expand it if needed, might be useful for other stuff too
  2. Set max limit for quotes on one message
     Or maybe both 1 and 2

Why:
CSS can only change how something looks maybe add a bit of text but not really adding custom elements to the page such as custom animations on buttons and that.

Feature:
Custom HTML theme addition that modifies the client to add in functionality and other features. Maybe add in the support for script tags to allow fetching of data from an API allowing the ability for certain information to be displayed on the client like current weather in their place and that

Why:
If you delete your account, you don't really want to have your information viewable anymore. Some people may say some bad things and get banned for it but you would likely only ban their account rather than delete their existence.

Feature:
Delete messages when someone deletes their account or within 30 days of the account deletion

Why:
Doesn't feel right. Server's member list allows you to right click someone for details such as view profile and id but in private messaging you can't.

Feature:

Be able to view profile and copy user id in private messaging

Why:
Better organisation of tabs like VSC

Feature:
Drag the tab to set the new position on the tab menu

If you have a friend but you want to title them something unique

Feature:
Be able to nickname people to whatever you want just like on snapchat. It could be done like Bestie❤️ or My girl/My boy without other people knowing it would help with identifying people.

Why:
Seeing if people open the dm or actually ignore you completely

Show a separate emoji at the bottom or a double tick if they have opened the dms

Keep the dms active

Just like snap streaks but Nertivia streaks where both people have to talk within a 24 hour period(midnight to midnight UTC) then show some sort of trophy on the dms with your streak

This is boring. People on discord often add emoji to channel names.

I think it would be really fun if "announcements" would have something like 📢, chat would have 🗨️ and etc.

Protect certain channels from public view, helpful for private things

Feature:
Add a permission for read channel which if denied then only administrators can see it

Why:

Case 1: You come off nertivia with 5 tabs of certain places, your friend accidently presses CTRL + T on your browser after doing something else on the computer. You don't really use the browser because your very smart and know how to read a book, so your friend goes looks through the tabs which they know you been chatting in recently rather than looking through random channels.

Case 2: You don't want that clutter when you come back and wanna start fresh

Feature:
When you leave the browser tab to clear the tab list either after a set time or an option to enable/disable this

Why:
Sometimes i'd just like to close nertivia and not hear notifications anymore / just close it without logging out

Feature:
An option in the windows or app settings tab (maybe rename it to that) where u can choose whether Nertivia closes completely or keeps running in the bg

Make your account more secure

Feature:
Enable 2FA to the account by either using an authenticator app, email sent out on every login or accept it on your phone
