Hi @NemoN great work you've done here!

I've checked your source code and have seen that you used your own response server (http://www.nemon.org/ryd) to test the development of the adapter.

Sadly, today, Ryd announced that the Ryd Box (TankTaler) will be retired on 30/04/2024, so my question is: would it be possible to reuse the Ryd Box with own SIM card and server? Did you already analysed how the Ryd Box sends data to the Ryd Server (there are some special functions that would be nice to keep, like: alarm when moved without motor running, OBD fault codes reading, Ryd Box removed/inserted, battery status, etc.)?

Would be great if it would be possible.

People living in Germany could use the Netzclub Sponsored Surf Basic 2.0 SIM card with 200MB EU wide monthly for 0 (zero) euros and a free Virtual Private Server with unlimited traffic and 5GB storage space... :)

Anyone knows if the Ryd Box was developed by Ryd or it was just a generic OBD adapter that was programmed by Ryd?
I've found the original brand of the Ryd Box (CalAmp) and some user manual. From what I've seen, they probably used the LM Direct communication server. It seems that this server sends AT commands to the Ryd Box to get data...

Thanks for the ryd adapter! Works flawlessly for me.
Have you found the sweet spot for the refresh time setting? within 15-19 minutes seems to be too much, as I get logged out of the ryd android app constantly. The logout only happens when I have the adapter running, so I guess ryd is recognizing "bot behaviour" and ending all sessions, which leads to app logout.

the new js-controller 2.0 will come into latest repository in the next days and we want to make sure that all adapters are working well. We already did a 2 weeks Beta test and so some adapter were aleady checked and some needed slight adjustments.

You can find more information in ioBroker/ioBroker.js-controller#482 and in the ioBroker Forum. If you have more technical questions please write in the referenced issue or in the Developer thread please. General questions are best in the genral thread.

Please update your systems to js-controller 2.0 and check your adapter.

Please close this issue once you have checked your adapter or received successfull reports from users.

We have detected that your adapter supports the compact mode. Please use the latest js-controller 2.0 and verify that everything works.

Dear Adapter developer,

Node.js 14 is now available for a year and Node.js 16 was release just some days ago and will become LTS by October 2021. We plan to update the ioBroker Node.js recommendation (currently 12.x) to 14.x later this year.

Please check your adapter with Node.js 14 especially, and ideally also directly with Node.js 16

Please add both versions to the adapter testing which is executed on commits.

If your adapter requires a certain minimum version of Node.js please set the 'engine' setting in package.json accordingly! Please also do this if the adapter is not able to work in certain Node.js versions, so that ioBroker can prevent users from installing te adapter if not compatible!

Dear Adapter developer,

with js-controller 4.0 object definitions are now also checked that min/max in only provided for number/mixed objects and that the type of the default value matches to the object type.

If something is not correct this is logged as 'warning' or 'info' log.

Please also make sure to update to the lastest @iobroker/testing dependency 2.5.4 or to accept the PR from Apollon77 for legacy testing!

Please spent some time to verify your adapter by ideally starting with a fresh instance and do some actions and verify the log. If you see a warn or info log there from these checks please adjust the adapter and fix the relevant cases.

the object fuel in ryd.0.things.xxx.fuel.level is a json, can you split it in 2 additional objects fuel and percent, please?

Dear developer,
in my log it says "StatusCodeError: 401 - "{"message": "Token not valid."}". Is it known if the adapter needs to be adjusted or does ryd have a problem?

Version 0.3.3 in /opt/iobroker/node_modules/iobroker.ryd, node: v12.22.5, js-controller: 3.3.15

Wahrscheinlich seit einem letzten Update des js-Controllers gibt der Adapter eine Warnung aus:
'Read-only state "ryd.0.lastUpdate" has been written without ack-flag with value "Sat Sep 18 2021 09:00:12 GMT+0200 (GMT+02:00)'.
Ebenso wird der Type des Datenpunkts angemeckert: 'State value to set for "ryd.0.lastUpdate" has to be type "number" but received type "object"'.

Additionally we are preparing Admin 5 which will have a completely rewritten UI. Please install Admin 5, activate that new UI and verify that the configuration of you adapter works as expected also there.
