Add iNat bird data.

Schoodic program directors want to include iNaturalist bird data in our analyses for LOC specifically for the exact locations of individuals which we will use to create visualizations for the results. Add this in to the modern bird data pool.

Get and read in data from Bioblitz for insect comparison.

Use Bioblitz data and compare by the locations of collection for modern day and proctor for insect results.

Add in shorebirds

Remove migrant category and give other designation appropriately. Change vagrants to vagrants.

Stable is an incorrect term to assign based on the data we have to make this determination.

Script 8 cannot export as .csv??

On script 8_proctor_rawdata_manipulation.R the columns seem to be be in list format even though it doesn't look like they are in the data.frame viewer. So when you try to export as a .csv you get the following error:

Add Passenger Pigeon and Cliff Swallow to the greatly decreasing species list.

Add details for getting eBird data in scripts.

eBird data cannot be automated in the same way as other datasets stored online. Therefore, those interested in using eBird data need to have a basis to follow on how to get the most current dataset from eBird directly. Add this info into the script that downloads eBird data for future reference.

Script does't include reading in starting data

This object needs to be read in from disk because it is created in the previous script and was assumed to be in memory. If it isn't, the script won't run.

Define how we assign values, terms, etc. - add to Rmd

Add this info into a write up in the Rmd for future reference.

What data to include?

We have a bounding box approach to get modern data but we want to get data from outlying islands or areas just outside the park (NPS lands). A bounding box maybe fine but we want the ability to filter out what modern data is in and outside the park. To do this, we envision pulling data from modern sources with bounding box (unless we just use a shapefile of the park).

Passenger Pigeon (and others?) missing

We need to fix the missing data that were not included in our raw files. This might involve a completely new raw dataset directly from the park and altering the data manipulation to work for that new dataset.

Fix change of working directory for data downloads.

Scripts currently change working directories (don't do that!) to put downloaded files into the data folder. Instead, fix this to write a path that can be used to send the data downloads to the correct location.
