I found out that the forecastMod.process_forecasts won't run if my configure doesn't have forecast flag on. But I'm not running for a real time instance; instead, I want to regrid and downscale the metrological forcing (except for the rainfall) for the past event (eg., 2016-2020) from NARR.

According to the configure, DownscalingParamDirs is to specify the input parameter directory containing necessary downscaling grids. What does the downscaling grid look like? Thank you!

The "old" forcing engine used to produce files with time as an "unlimited" dimension making the files easier to concatenate and work with in general. It appears this is no longer the case.

I don't have any insight into whether or not this was an intentional decision (I'm guessing it was just an oversight), but if it's not a big deal it'd be nice to change this back to unlimited.
