First thanks for this great idea how to provision a docker-machine. Unfortunately when I tried it with my local docker-machine (virtualbox), I get an error when the bootstrap is applied:

TASK: [Install desired packages] **********************************************
fatal: [localhost] => SSH encountered an unknown error during the connection.

Any ideas why this happens?

Thanks for your interesting article https://nathanleclaire.com/blog/2015/11/10/using-ansible-with-docker-machine-to-bootstrap-host-nodes/. I was trying to get the Dockerfile working, but ran into a problem with the bootstrap.yml playbook.

In commit e7012e3 ("Revise playbook to run as sudo user") you've added "become: true" to the Ansible playbook. This requires Ansible 1.9 or newer. The Ansible Dockerfile uses debian:jessie as a base image, which has Ansible 1.7. So, when running the image you get an error about an invalid statement, causing the container to terminate.

I'm not yet familiar enough with Ansible to know how to change the playbook. An alternative would be to install a newer ansible version, but that would have to come from source I guess.

What would you recommend?
