Name importation is important for securely hosting .bit domains, so it should be explained on the site.

Rough explanation (copied and pasted from an e-mail from me to indolering):

"If you need the ability to change the IP address from a hot wallet, the IP address should be in a dd/ name, which is imported into a d/ name. The d/ name should specify a TLS fingerprint, and should not be in a hot wallet. In the event that the hot wallet is compromised and the dd/ name is hijacked, your website will display a TLS error until you register a new dd/ name, but your .bit domain will not be stolen, and your visitors will not be MITM'ed (unless they're stupid enough to click through the TLS error)."

I'm currently paying $10/month for the FreeSpeechMe.org site; I'd like to get that content moved here as soon as possible so that I can use that money for things like development and paying bills. There's no reason to have that content on an external site.

Current front page is taken 50% by an image, and the other by a wall of text.

As I understand, namecoin is (or was) designed to be a decentralized domain registrar.

The page seems to be mainly about freedom in the GNU sense and actually seems to tell very little about what the software is, or how to get started.

There is no call to action, or even an easy way to download (the download link being last on the nav bar, playing team, video and everything else above it in importance.

IMO, most of the front page should be moved to either features or philosophy.

The front page, 'above the fold' should be 'this is what it is, this is how to get started'

References bitcoin.org for a clean fast layout and call to action.
