hikari-for-jekyll's Issues

Different display between Chrome and Firefox

Hello. I love your hikari theme for jekyll especially the name:P But I met a problem when viewing the demo site with different browsers. Just as the images below, the first one is with Chrome (and Safari as well) while the other Firefox (IE also). In the latter case, there's a blank margin between two post items. Is there anyway to fix this problem? Thank you.

Thank you!

This theme is amazingly unique! I was looking for a Jekyll theme on jekyllthemes.io that could really make my blog stand out, and I saw Hikari, and thought that this would be the one I could really build upon.

I love the full width, animated list of blog posts idea; very minimalist and content focused for a front page!

I decided that I wanted to have a feature image for each blog post and feature it within the list elements, and I figured it out! I also make lots of styling changes and changed the fonts, although there's a bit more work to do.

My Blog

I really appreciate the work you put in to compartmentalizing the scss into different files, and using variables with the colors, fonts, and even spacing. It made it very easy to modify quickly, and actually taught me a lot about web design best practices.

Cheers!

Three lines button hover animation issue on touch screens

Although could probably be better, I really like the animation of the three lines icon on top right...

That said, the button animation is not resetting on touch screens after I click on it... It remains as one line instead of three.

I need to find a way to fix that. Any suggestion?

baseurl misbehavior

Looks like if my baseurl is empty, the blog header link points to the current page, making it difficult to get back to the homepage. And if baseurl contains a "/", then the stylesheets don't load.

Beautifully designed!

Configure author name via _config.yml

"John Doge", the fake author, has his name repeated in the footer, the header, and in the future atom.xml. It'd be nice to set "author" and other details in _config.yml to make it easy to override.

SASS? Pages?

Hello.

Looking for ways to improve this theme.

Should I add a way to support pages? (About, etc.) I also wondered what would be the value of switching to SASS for this quite minimalistic theme. I'm guessing adding variables to the game could make the customization easier for everyone so that's something I consider too.

Let me know what you think.

Cheers,
Mathieu

I'm using ruby 2.0.0p353 (2013-11-22 revision 43784) [x86_64-darwin12.5.0] and upgraded to python 2.7.8 to fix it.
jekyll/jekyll#1181
Perhaps we can use travis to run bundle exec jekyll serve --watch for all the different versions of python and ruby.
