Add Stickers

• Attach them to a ticket and mention the author and license you want the sticker to be distributed by.
• Or send me an EMail
• Or add them manually and create a merge request.

Add Manually

1. Fork the repository
2. Put your image file in a subfolder of ./images/ (descriptive names please!)
3. Run the update.py script to add new entries to data.json
4. Create a merge request

Supported fields:

• Tags: unicorns advertisement (lower case)
• Title: We Deploy Unicorns
• Author: Mrs. Unicorn <[email protected]>
• License: CC0-1.0 (SPDX format)
• Language: english (lower case)
• Link: https://example.com (lower case)

All fields are optional!

Submit Guidlines

• Only submit stickers that are free for non-commercial use (at least)
• Prefer images rather then photos of stickers, those are better for printing.

Local Demo

Run python3 -m http.server in the folder of this repository and navigate to http://localhost:8000.

want to drop these, all https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/ by me ([email protected])

this should come out at 300dpi and original truck size for your own truck which does not go to france

For users to submit changes and new images.

submit new not working

Trying to submit a new sticker via https://mwarning.github.io/chaos-sticker-collection/submit.html

When clicking the submit-button on the mentioned page, a java popup appears saying "Error:" and nothing else happens.
Therefore I'm not able to submit anything.

Hallo,
ich wollte neue Sticker einreichen, bekomme aber folgenden Fehler:

Quellübergreifende (Cross-Origin) Anfrage blockiert: Die Gleiche-Quelle-Regel verbietet das Lesen der externen Ressource auf https://mwarning.de:4223/submit. (Grund: CORS-Anfrage schlug fehl).

Das Javaskript meldet einfach nur einen "Error".

Wird daran liegen, das JavaSkript von https://mwarning.github.io/chaos-sticker-collection/submit.html auf https://mwarning.de:4223/submit zugreifen will. Um das zu ermöglichen muss mwarning.de:4223 das per CORS zulassen über ein paar Response-Header-Optionen: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross-Origin_Resource_Sharing

Wäre super nett, wenn du das beheben würdest. Vielen dank!

For not doing the same as instagram, we need distinguishing features and the lack thereof.

• ideal would be a submission form without login, then the images need to be reviewed and acked...
• different available sticker formats
• sticker drop site (form with file upload and author, title, tags inputs)
  • sticker then need to be reviewed and uploaded to github - not ideal, but probably for the best
  • maybe a blue sticker monster in a plastic box that munches/accepts sticker. Digested sticker will be added to the repository.
• make search bar visible at all times (absolute position)
• add link to repo (fork all the stickers!)

Let users rank images.

Backlink to repository

A link to the repository would be great (and preferably not at the end of the page, I should not have to scroll until the end), so contributors can easily find their way to add new stickers.

The link could just be a "contribute" link or so.

handle different image formats and language variations

What about different format (pdf, svg, png) of the same sticker?

add type field?

Maybe extend to stickers/t-shirts/flyers/buttons/poster/leaflet/audio/video...? Well, maybe not :>

use explicit preview images

Currently, jpg images are use for preview, if available. This is not very elegant. Let's us explicit _preview.webp
