Contributing

Pull requests for the code (.py files) are welcome.

I do not accept any pull requests that directly modify the tables (.csv, .json and .xml files) in any way, as they are automatically generated by the Python scripts.

Missing Norfolk Island

Hi There,

Thank you for this important mcc-mnc-table :)
I have a customer which lives in Norfolk Island (country code 672) and this not shows in the files. What is the procedure to add it?

Missing MNC

First of all, I would like to thank you for the great effort you are doing to update the table.

I was looking for the MCC-MNC (222-50) however I didn't find it in your list. But I checked it in https://mcc-mnc-list.com/list and it was there. Weirdly I found that they have around 2.8K entry and your table has 1.6K.

Could you please clarify the reason behind this gap?

Please, create a new release version.
Say 1.0.0 or something like that.

mcc-mnc.com poorly maintained, please manually add updates

It seem that the website you use to pull info is rather poorly maintained. Manual updates through PRs may be a good option to keep up to date.

E.g. For Lithuania,
Omnitel is now Telia, and Tele2 is Vodaphone.

Is it possible to know by IP which is the Mobile Network?

Or rather, some way to get MNC after a visitor on my website.

It would be helpful to drop in a license file just to clarify status

Tables are incomplete, many new networks should be added.

Recent document, available from ITU has more complete mnc mcc listings. Some, or all of this, information should be added to the mnc mcc tables:

There are other sources of more up to date information (including wikipedia)

Output not sorted

If you compare the diffs between versions, it's difficult to see what's changed as the elements have been re-ordered, which appear as diffs.

Could the output be sorted to ensure consistency in the future?

What is the purpose of the mcc_int and mnc_int?

Missing some Network operators

I was looking over your MNC/MCC list and tought you would like to know that it seems to be missing a few Network names. The ones missing are listed below with values I found from Wikipedia and one other site. They differ in some cases so I'm providing two columns from each site.

Table not updated

Hi,

Firstly - thanks for making this library and saving me doing the same thing.

The table has not been updated since 20/12/2017.

Just thought I'd let you know in case it's a bug.

The data files are blank; contents wiped out with last update.

To anyone wanting to access this dataset, this is the last known good version:

MCC-MNC JSON file empty, mcc-mnc.com website inaccessible

It seems that in commit 192636f all information was deleted and an empty file remains.

The website http://mcc-mnc.com/ doesn't seem to be working anymore.

About French Guiana ISO

Hi,
Firstly, I really appreciate about codes and tables.
But I found some wrong information in tables.
While I'm using mcc-mnc table files, I found some wrong data about French Guiana ISO.

Actually, the ISO code of French Guiana ISO is 'gf'. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_3166-2:GF)
But, in http://mcc-mnc.com/, it is written as 'fg'. So, it is all same in all tables.

Though it is basically the problem of http://mcc-mnc.com/, I want to discuss about handling in code level.

Convert Operator Name to Operator Code

Thanks for building this, however there is one issue, we need to get the CC + Network Code instead of name. basically we want to be able to show the real Network area code instead of the network name.

for example instead of:

Wrong Network name Hi3G

Hi,
for MCC = 222 and MNC = 99 filed Network should be "H3G" instead of "Hi3G"

Is the LICENSE correct?

The data is being pulled from http://mcc-mnc.com/. However, that site does not list a LICENSE for use. The LICENSE in this repository is MIT (Mustafa Al-Bassam) but that does not cover the data which is copyright "© 2011-2013 by interactive digital media GmbH"

Since the copyright is still set at 2013, I can only assume that the data has not been updated since 2013 and thus that may be why the row count is also much smaller than https://github.com/pbakondy/mcc-mnc-list

http://mcclist.com/ has an alternative list of MCC MNC, it would be nice to convert it to csv too.
