@meenzen are you able to verify that the initial animation of the slider is prevented, as expected, in the associated PR?
Unfortunately, I'm not able to reproduce any slider position glitches when resizing and maximizing the docs page so the PR doesn't address that concern.

I just found anther issue:

As you can see the slider is completely broken when selecting the option nine with a long title. That is with #9205 applied by the way.
I don't like this implementation, it really feels sub-par. We can continue chasing symptoms of this change but I'd rather have this reverted until a proper solution is found.
