An instance of population_unit_2d in simulation did not assert any decoder_dv_we (decoded value write-enable) at any time, meaning that decoded values are not being written back to memory at all.

A Git bisection search turned up a bad commit in Nengo, 1cdf5a14665...3ab84 (Feb 1 16:54:26 2014 -0500) which breaks part of the builder. Specifically, when attempting to calculate principal components of an ensemble, line 965 of builder.py (activities = ens.activities(eval_points)) leads to a traceback that passes through line 161 of objects.py (np.dot(eval_points, self.encoders.T / self.radius))) and line 127 of nonlinearities.py (J = self.gain * x + self.bias). When performing this operation, NumPy complains that the "objects are not aligned" and raises a ValueError.
