MD5 hashing for peers belongs to the TCP stack. Starting to develop MD5 library for sockets.

Tracking a potential bug regarding the server when the client process is terminated.

it may be a nice feature to use R/Lshift for in/output.
example:

tcp::socket s;
string input;

s.connect("127.0.0.1", "666");
s << "send this over the wire\n";

place holder for keepalive feature.

should have callbacks for:

• disconnects: when a socket gets closed unexpectedly
• keepalive/hold timer expired. (missed n hello packets)
• failover on keepalive timeout

Needs a failover connection listing in the event that a socket gets and remains disconnected.

Failover should be transparent to the daemons.

if a failover is unsuccessfull, restart the process.
