mpv-libunity

mpv-libunity is a mpv plugin that shows a nice progress bar on your panel/dock using libunity specification. Obviously this only works on linux and with panels that support libunity (such as kde plasma or dash-to-dock on gnome). Cinnamon panel is also supported via cinnamon.lua (but you will need xdotool and xprop in that case).

Build

Build requirements:

• c++ compiler
• pkg-config
• mpv development files
• Qt5DBus development files (On archlinux available via qt5-base)

Just run make

Install

Just run make install

smplayer?

Nice work!

Guess not easy (or even possible) but wondering whether this could work on players that run mpv in the background, such as smplayer.

Asking because mpv does not support MPRIS...

Add a license

Hello. I'm packaging this plugin for Gentoo, and I noticed that it does not have a LICENSE file.
I think this is not what you intended, since it restricts the use to pretty much no one.
Repositories like AUR package the plugin with an "unknown" license, but I believe it would be better if you chose one yourself to eliminate any ambiguity.
