The panel displayed currently displays below all other windows. This makes it kind of useless as notification.

The panel is positioned at the (bottom right) corner of the screen, overlapping the taskbar. It might want to be positioned above the taskbar instead.

(This may end up being a wontfix if starting from the edge of the screen is better.)

Receiving a few notifications shortly after another makes them take a lot of space on the screen. It would be nice if notifications had a dismiss/close button to make them go away immediately.

It's possible to open the system menu (CTRL+SPACE) of the alerts-window. Choosing "Close" crashes the application (tested with Instantbird).
I suppose it shouldn't be possible to open the system menu in first place?

Due to the way the panels are positioned, it is currently possible for them to display on the wrong monitor. This may be a side effect of anchoring a panel to another panel; this is uncertain.

Testing this will probably involve having a second monitor...
