It is self contained and does all the necessary calculations locally, so is suitable for generating a new wallet on a machine that is not connected to the network, and may even never be. Add information how to spend monero

Hi,
Could you please add instructions to the HTML page how to spend your monero once you received some to the generated address?

Similarly like https://www.bitaddress.org has paragraph "Spend your bitcoins" in the generated "wallet".

I suppose you can import it into full desktop wallet and make regular transactions from there? Would be great to have that info on the HTML page itself.

Security - Custom entropy defets the purpose of menmonic seed

"Custom entropy" is not a randomization seed (but maybe should be), it's the actual seed, so output wallet is always same for same "Custom entropy", this means if someone uses "abcd" as custom entropy, the 25 menmonic words are useless, anybody can restore the wallet with "abcd"

Generating send, view and public key from seed ?

great, monero-wallet-generator is generating a wallet :-)
Would be very helpful to have a function on top of this,
which inputs the mnemonic seed and
outputs the send, view and public key.
Is there any offline javascript code doing this ?

Long term storage?

Hi,
I would like to ask you, is this HTML wallet generator suitable for long term cold storage of Monero? Lets say I would like to save and forget about it? Will I be able to use these in few years? What possible problems may I encounter? Versus saving the full desktop wallet with blockchain to some harddisk and also forgeting about it for some time...?

Hey! Your code is awesome and usefull, but is there version only for JS? Without any html?
Just to generate monero wallet with function, which will return address, private keys and mnemonic seed.

Getting Tx Private Key from moneroaddress.org

It might be more secure to use Tx Private Key since it is generated for each transaction than the Private Viewkey which is the master password viewkey.
However moneroaddress.org doesn't offer capabilities atm for Tx Private Key. Any ideas for this?

Add ability to type in your mnemonic seed

currently you can only generate addresses, but what if i have my mnemonic seed and want to reveal my pub/priv addresses? Would be great to add ability to change the input of the mnemonic seed.

Custom Prefix

How can I define a custom prefix. For example “LK” for a wallet address. I can see in the code you use addressPrefix of 18 for “4” and “0x62” for “w”. How is it encoded?

Setting a prefix fails generation

Hi
When setting a prefix for an address (longer than 2) after a short while the generations seems to be stuck, no CPU activity and in the console (f12 developer tools) an error and exception can be seen, something with fail to enlarge needed memory. See attached

AEON restore from seed no loner works*

since Aeon started using 25 words, generated seed 24 word seems to work, but then Aeon generated new 25 words and this is so confusing, you need to update generator to work like monero.

Please add option "generate legacy" to generate 24 words, technically spend and view key to be the same wheteher you generate 24 or 25 words

Off topic - GPG verification

Hi,
I am sorry to bother you, but I am rookie (linux, gpg, github) with no experiences in programming etc... I was not able to verify - "monero-wallet-generator.html.asc" according your instructions.

I have downloaded your signature (moneromooo.asc) and imported it (sudo gpg --import moneromooo.asc). So far, ok.

Then - "You need to get the signature file corresponding to the version of the page you're using." - I have downloaded "monero-wallet-generator.html.asc" from link from your generator page (same content like in your git repository). I have both files in the same directory. So far, ok.

Then - I use command - "sudo gpg --verify monero-wallet-generator.html.asc", but message I got was:

"gpg: Podpis vytvořen So 4. únor 2017, 11:02:33 CET pomocí klíče RSA s ID uživatele 4D6CEFC3
gpg: ŠPATNÝ podpis od "moneromooo-monero [email protected]"

sorry it is in the czech language, translation should be like this:

"gpg: Signature made Sa 4. Feb 2017, 11:02:33 CET using keys RSA with user ID 4D6CEFC3
gpg: BAD signature from "moneromooo-monero [email protected]"

Isn't there any step I missed? Also - when I save the webpage from "https://moneroaddress.org/" - it has a slightly different filename - "Monero offline wallet generator.html" - but I always thought, that name of the file is not important for verification or hash...

I would be grateful if you can help me find out what I am doing wrong...
