Many of the collaboration tools we use every day have the ability to ingest content via a dedicated email address. Instead of having to grow your extension to support a plethora of services (a la Shareaholic), you can have a customized catch-all that allows users to place in their own dedicated email address for a particular service. Examples include Evernote, Podio, and others that enable this kind of ingestion.

I would like the ability to create a URL whereby I could share to any other service.

E.g. I comment and share on a blog, in my Stream, want to reciprocate and post my "Google+ post" back to the blog, if there were a way to generate a simple URL (as it does when it posts to twitter), to copy and paste this back to the blog.....

Way around this for the moment - use the twitter button, copy and paste it from there, then don't post to twitter...

I tried to share a message to Twitter using this extension, but I ran into an error:

Invalid Unicode value in one or more parameters /share?
url=…

I assume that it's because the message I tried to share contained non-ASCII characters (é, à…) which aren't encoded when you pass them into the url.

This should be a fairly easy one to implement I would imagine. Pre-populate an e-mail body & subject with relevant info from the post. Love the extension, thanks!

Google+ is tricky and well done, it uses HTML5 pretty well, and use asynchronous programming. For instance, clicking on home (logo) will erase all your injected links. We need to somehow figure out how to know when Google sends an update and after it got updated, we should re-render the injection DOM.

It would be nice that if a post has a link that the link is shared and not the post.

I would love it if there were an option for facebook sharing to just post a status update instead of share a link. This would be handy for short posts that don't really need a link back (I do this with twitter shares just by removing the link part of the status update)

is it possible to have a choice to include the google plus link only if a post exceeds a certain number of characters?

Should the Google-plus extension work on Linux (Mint 11)? I installed the extension with no errors, but the icon does not appear.

Suggestion: allow me to select more than one alternative place to push my post.

When people first install the extension, the content script isn't injected unless they refresh the browser. Making an autoload mechanism is important.

We need to add translations, it will fix the public/limited issue of #54 and make many people happy.

According to Robert Shaver, the identi.ca shares are similar to twitter, so we should shorten them automatically.

As noticed today, version 1.6 stopped working. Refreshing (Ctrl-F5) won´t do it either.
Updating extensions brings nothing new...

the extension would be very much more useful to me (and i think some other people) if i would get all my posts send to defined target automatically (so i would not have to additionally click the send button each time i post new message)

When I post something new to G+, I'd like to be able to selectively post to Twitter, Facebook, Identica etc. Can you modify the script to make the link available for a new post as well as for sharing existing posts? Note that the Start Google Plus extension does this (but only for Twitter & FB, not Identica, Tumbler, etc)

Sharing to Posterous from Google+ would be huge...

It is possible that their extension accept other languages​​?
Perhaps it may be placed on the options page of its extension a tool to change the language of the extension?

Or in some file in the format ".txt" with phrases and words that must be translated and the people from other countries who were interested in helping out, put the translation of that words and phrases along with the original (English) and send in by email for you could put your extension available for other languages​​. It would be great for fans of other countries, like me, I'm Portuguese, so, if you see some error in this text, please sorry.

would it be possible to add a "share on dreamwidth" function? Dreamwidth operates on the same basic code as Livejournal, if that helps at all.

Note: it's still injecting the word "Edit" into tweets. On Facebook, it posts the Plus link, but no text at all. I'm using the latest >?

I don't know if it is possible but there is a service I have been investigating a bit called HelloTxt. Unsure if they have an API.

Base: At work Windows 7 64 bits, Chrome v14: extension working. At home Windows XP 32bits, Chrome v15 beta: extension working.
Configured sync on Chrome at work (Win7), after sync extension stop working. Upgraded to v15 (still not work), then v15 beta (as home pc), and still not working. I used Developer Mode and Update Extensions Now, but doesn't work.

Sparks doesn't get rendered, it is most likely a DOM auto update (for lazy loading)

I see the "Share on" link on the posts, but when I click I get a popup with just Share on... and no choices. I have selected Twitter, FB, and Linkedin in the options and hit the Save button.

Using Rockmelt (Chrome) browser (0.9.58.494) on Mac 10.6.8.

When sharing hangouts, it shows a null instead of the URL for the hangout.

not sure if there's any API to do so at hand, but it would be nice to have the extension add links to resources that publish the post (to facebook / tweet posts) somewhere at the bottom of the original post perhaps?

When a content to share is an external link, why don't we share this link directly instead of sharing google post link ?

Right now, it uses the complete URL, would be nice to have a URL shortner service like goo.gl and bit.ly so people can gather statistics based on links!

Hello,

I cannot see any possibility to share stuff on any of the networks I selected (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn). The extension just seems not to be working completely.

I reinstalled the extension twice, restarted the browser several times and also logged in to G+ twice. If you have any hints how to support you in debugging this I will be happy to supply any information required.

It would be much better if there was a pop-up when you click on the twitter, facebook etc link. Much like the one there is when you click on "share on...".

It's quite annoying and distracting that a new page opens. A webapp called bufferapp solved it quite good designwise. So something like that.

What would be the chances of adding Plurk.com to sites that you could share on?

Here are some features I've been thinking about:

Circles and stream filtering / sorting

• rearrange circles in stream filtering left menu
• multi-circle stream filtering (checkbox in front of each circle) + bookmarking combinations (like currently for sharing targeted circles)

Posting / sharing

• on a shared post, display a link to the original post

Tags show up as a link attribute which wont make sense, we should just skip it.

It passes utf8 text into url as-is, which is not valid in any way.

My Twitter account is only logged in using the https connection. When using a non-secure connection, it doesn't recognise me so I'm guessing the secure and non-secure cookies are separate. So this means when I use the Twitter button this extension adds to G+ posts, it asks me to log in, which I won't do over a non-secure connection.

Could you somehow allow the specification of which type of connection to use?
